Today marks an important date for fans of Ed Sheeran: the British artist has released his brand-new album Play, now available for listening. To celebrate, Sheeran also unveiled the official video for his new single Camera, featuring Phoebe Dynevor, the star of Bridgerton.
The single Camera
Camera, co-produced by ILYA (Ariana Grande, Camila Cabello), Andrew Watt (Post Malone) and Louis Bell (Justin Bieber), once again highlights Sheeran’s ability to balance lyrical depth with melodic strength. The track, inspired by his wife Cherry, serves as an intimate celebration of connection and reverence.
Directed by long-time collaborator Emil Nava, the video was filmed entirely on iPhone and depicts the early stages of a romantic relationship. Set against the backdrop of Croatia’s picturesque Old Town, the clip shows Sheeran and Dynevor sharing spontaneous adventures: scooter rides, late-night bar visits, walks under the city lights and even a moment together on stage during one of Sheeran’s stadium shows.
The new chapter of Play
With Play, Sheeran opens a new artistic era following the conclusion of his renowned Mathematics series. The album shows his willingness to expand into new musical territories through collaborations with international producers and musicians.

To celebrate the release, Sheeran will perform live today, Friday, September 12, at 6 p.m. local time from NPR’s iconic Tiny Desk. This will mark the first livestream concert of this scale for the series, with Sheeran showcasing new songs using his loop station.
