Amazon Music has released a new episode of its acclaimed series Songline featuring Ed Sheeran. The episode dives deep into the artist’s latest album Play, the newest work by the BRIT Award winner and current chart-topper, offering fans an intimate look into Ed Sheeran’s songwriting process and the personal stories behind his music. The episode is available exclusively on Amazon Music.
Throughout the episode, Ed Sheeran reflects on how marriage has influenced the evolution of his songwriting, exploring the differences between how he used to craft songs in the early stages of his career and how he approaches composition today. He also shares his vision for the future direction of his music. During the session, Sheeran performs several of his songs, including Shivers, Azizam, Sapphire, The Vow, Perfect, Old Phone, Camera and A Little More.
Dedicated to the art of songwriting, Songline invites some of the most inspiring artists of the contemporary music scene to reinterpret their work in an intimate and stripped-back context.
