Major Lazer

Major Lazer is an electronic music project created by American DJ and record producer Diplo. Formerly a collaboration along with English DJ-producer Switch, they parted ways in late 2011. Major Lazer is a musical fusion collective, renowned across the world for its energetic and varied mix of different styles and genres. The group utilizes elements like Hip Hop, Dancehall and Pop, to create a dynamic and entirely original soundscape. The quintet have gained widespread recognition since their launch in 2008 due to the infectious dance grooves they expertly enforce in every song they produce. Races from Jamaica dancehall concerts to private Las Vegas parties feel the electric vibes accompanying virtually all thematic compilations produced by Major Lazer. It's no wonder that international Giants such as Rihanna, Justin Bieber and Travis Scott rely on collaborating with this production giant when releasing progressive contemporary hit records.
