Jay Wheeler: history and sound
José Ángel López Martínez, known as Jay Wheeler, is a talented Puerto Rican singer and songwriter. He gained significant attention in 2016 when a video of him singing went viral, leading him to pursue a full-time music career. In 2018, he signed with Dynamic Records and released his debut album, Platónico, in 2019, which was executively produced by DJ Nelson. His follow-up album, Platónicos, came out in 2020, also produced by DJ Nelson, and featured the hit single 'La Curiosidad' with Myke Towers, which reached #5 on the Billboard Hot Latin Songs chart.
