Daniel Earl Hartman è stato un musicista pop rock americano noto per il suo contributo alla musica degli anni '70 e '80. È stato membro del Edgar Winter Group, con cui ha registrato il celebre brano 'Free Ride'. Come artista solista, ha ottenuto un grande successo con canzoni come 'Relight My Fire', 'Instant Replay', 'I Can Dream About You', 'We Are the Young' e 'Second Nature'. 'I Can Dream About You' è stata la sua hit di maggior successo negli Stati Uniti, raggiungendo il sesto posto nella Billboard Hot 100 nel 1984.
