The co-headlining *Poisoned Ascendancy* tour featuring Trivium and Bullet for My Valentine is coming to an early end, and Trivium is publicly attributing the cancellation to Bullet for My Valentine frontman Matt Tuck.
The tour, designed to celebrate the 20th anniversaries of Trivium’s Ascendancy and Bullet for My Valentine’s The Poison, was initially expected to run through the end of 2025, including stops in South America and Australia. However, those international legs have now been cancelled.
On May 12, Trivium bassist Paolo Gregoletto revealed via livestream that the decision was due to Tuck no longer wanting to continue with the tour. Gregoletto said plans were already in motion, and expressed confusion about the sudden change, stating that it would have been an amazing experience for fans around the world.
Trivium later posted an edited tour flyer on social media titled The Poisoned Ascendancy \[Farewell] Tour, confirming the early end of the collaboration.
Despite the split, Gregoletto confirmed that Trivium will continue touring, now independently, with other bands in North America. He mentioned the band would have more time for special surprises and different experiences for fans.
Further tension appeared when Gregoletto posted a video on Trivium’s official TikTok featuring a thumbs up and a caption reading When you make your first TikTok live and piss off the other bands you are on tour with, along with the hashtag #JusticeForSouthAmerica.
In an additional comment, Gregoletto implied that Matt Tuck has no respect for us or our crew, highlighting a deeper rift between the bands.
While the joint tour ends prematurely, Trivium shows no sign of slowing down and will continue connecting with fans through upcoming shows and new collaborations.
