On Friday, August 29, 2025, Sabrina Carpenter returns with her seventh album Man's Best Friend, released alongside the new single Tears and its official music video. The album is available on all digital platforms and in several physical formats, including Colored Vinyl, CD, Cassette, and special editions exclusive to the Universal store.
The single Tears, written by Sabrina Carpenter with John Ryan and Amy Allen, features dance and synth sounds inspired by the seventies. The song ironically reflects on the importance of respect and care in a relationship. The music video, directed by Bardia Zeinali and starring Colman Domingo, blends sensual and theatrical atmospheres with nods to the iconic musical Rocky Horror Picture Show.
Man's Best Friend includes 12 tracks and features collaborations with Jack Antonoff, Amy Allen, and John Ryan. The album highlights Sabrina’s sharp songwriting, mixing catchy pop melodies with bold and clever storytelling. It also features Manchild, already platinum in the US and Sabrina Carpenter’s first-ever debut at number one on the Billboard Top 100, as well as topping Spotify Global with over 8 million daily streams.
2025 has already established Sabrina Carpenter as one of the world’s most beloved pop stars. Following the success of Short n’ Sweet Deluxe, released in February with a collaboration with Dolly Parton, she has performed at major international stages including the Unipol Forum in Milan, Primavera Sound Festival in Barcelona, Hyde Park in London, and Lollapalooza in Chicago. She also celebrated the first anniversary of Short n’ Sweet, which surpassed 10 million copies sold.
The American popstar, winner of three Grammy Awards in 2025 and the Global Success award at the BRIT Awards, will perform on September 7 at the MTV VMAs with 8 nominations, including Video of the Year for Manchild. In autumn, she will return with the Short N’ Sweet Tour in North America, confirming her rise as one of the most influential artists in today’s global music scene.
