Free, the new album by producer, artist, actor and director, visionary musician and two-time GRAMMY® Award winner Kid Cudi, is out now. The record is available for streaming on all digital platforms and exclusively on the Universal shop for preorder in physical Double Vinyl format.
Free was preceded by the singles Neverland, Grave and Mr. Miracle. The latter is a track about rebirth, where the artist retraces a life full of struggles that he managed to overcome almost miraculously. The music alternates dark, gritty verses with more open choruses, giving the listener a sense of hope and lightness. The single was released alongside Kid Cudi’s interview with Zane Lowe for Apple New Music Daily.
The official video for Grave was directed by acclaimed filmmaker Samuel Bayer, while Neverland marked the beginning of a new musical era for the artist, accompanied by the short film of the same name presented at the Tribeca Film Fest.
Kid Cudi stated: For the past three years I haven’t really challenged myself. Free is my way of being brave again and doing something different.
