During the conversation, he was asked about the band’s current status, especially considering that they are not signed to any record label at the moment. He was asked if signing a new deal would be necessary before releasing new music.
“We will [sign to a label], obviously. I think we’re gonna start work on the next record fairly soon,” he responded. “For the last few albums, we’ve been with Warner, extending the contract after each record. We may do the same again; we may go with a new label, who knows.”
He then added that the break following the release of Will Of The People in 2022 felt natural after touring and that the band members are no longer as keen on releasing albums as frequently as they used to.
“When you finish touring an album, and when the band has been around for a bit longer, the gaps between albums get a little bigger. I don’t think we can be banging out new albums every two years like we used to,” he explained. “But it gives you that opportunity to reset a little bit and think about what’s gonna happen going forward.”
