Human Puppets

Human Puppets (also known as 010) were formed in 2004 in Greece by two friends, Stathis Leontiadis and Nick Kapantzakis, both active in the Greek underground scene. Admirers of the Dada movement and following a DIY philosophy, they combined analogue sounds with tapes, toys, noises, and unusual visuals. At first, no Greek label showed interest in their musical experiments, except for friends and Jörg from Kernkrach, who believed in them and released their material. Since then, they released the EP Human Puppets in 2005, the LP The Future From The Past in 2006, and independently (as 5th Floor Entertainment) the single T.V. Eye in 2010 and the LP T.V. Eye in 2011. Their songs appeared in various compilations, and their sound became influential, inspiring other bands and artists. Human Puppets’ live performances were a must-see, as they insisted on using only analogue synths and machines, defying difficulties and trends. The project disbanded in 2012, primarily due to the distance between its members.
